Client stories

What chairs and finance directors noticed after we prepared their committee papers.

“The pack arrived three days before the meeting with every judgement explained in plain language. Our independent directors finally stopped asking the same revenue-recognition question twice.”
— Elaine W., Audit Committee Chair, HKEX Main Board issuer
“They were firm about needing source schedules from our subsidiaries on time. That pressure helped, even if it made a long week for my team.”
— Marcus L., Group CFO, family-controlled trading group
“Mei Ling’s control findings briefing let us close four aged items in one sitting. The remediation table alone was worth the fee.”
— Patricia K., Company Secretary, GEM Board issuer
“We used their pre-listing readiness memo with our sponsor. A few recommendations were uncomfortable — our inventory cut-off was weaker than we admitted — but better found then than in the prospectus process.”
— Adrian N., Finance Director, private logistics group preparing to list

Extended story: Mid-year control letter

A Kowloon-based manufacturing issuer received a lengthy management letter two weeks before a scheduled audit committee. Digitalnetgenius condensed forty-two points into nine severity-ranked themes, mapped each to an owner, and prepared a chair briefing that reserved discussion time for three items that could affect the interim announcement. The committee minuted clear remediation dates; two lower-severity themes were deferred without confusion.

Extended story: First pack after a restatement

Following a prior-year restatement, a Main Board client asked us to rebuild their committee narrative so directors could see what had changed in estimation methods. We drafted a side-by-side judgement paper, coordinated with the external auditors on wording they would not object to, and issued the pack five days before circulation. The chair later told us the independent directors spent the meeting on forward-looking controls rather than re-litigating the restatement itself.
